CERT-In, the cybersecurity authority of India operating under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has identified two vulnerabilities within the Google Chrome browser.
According to reports from TOI, these vulnerabilities pose a risk of compromising user data and devices, underscoring the necessity of updating to the most recent version of the browser.
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team has urged users to promptly implement the required security patches and upgrade their Chrome browser to reduce these threats. This advisory primarily targets users on Mac, PC, and laptop platforms, with less emphasis on smartphone users.
The identified vulnerabilities stem from issues such as out-of-bounds memory access in V8, improper implementation in navigation, fullscreen, fenced frames, payments, extensions, and compositing, as well as an integer overflow in Skia, out-of-bounds read in metrics, stack buffer overflow in Tracing, race conditions in Frames, and insufficient data validation in Extensions.
