Nothing is set to introduce its Phone 3 series, which includes the Phone 3a, on March 4. The device is anticipated to be equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, a 6.8-inch OLED display, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera.

Renowned for its distinctive designs and Glyph lighting, Nothing is preparing to launch its latest smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3a, on March 4. A tweet from Gadget Bits on X (formerly Twitter) suggests that this mid-range model will feature significant enhancements compared to its predecessors, such as a larger display, a new Qualcomm chipset, and an upgraded camera system. Although the company has not disclosed detailed specifications, various leaks and certifications have provided insights into the expected features.
The Nothing Phone 3a is rumored to boast a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it the largest screen on any Nothing device to date. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, marking a transition from the MediaTek Dimensity processor utilized in the Phone 2a. Additionally, the phone will operate on Nothing OS 3.1, which is based on Android 15.
A particularly noteworthy enhancement is the camera configuration. The Phone 3a is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera alongside a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, representing the first inclusion of a telephoto lens in Nothing’s smartphone lineup. However, this addition may result in a reduction of the ultra-wide camera to 8 megapixels. On the front, a 32-megapixel selfie camera will be positioned in a hole-punch cutout, consistent with previous models.
Regarding battery performance, no significant changes are anticipated, according to the leaks. The Nothing Phone 3a is expected to house a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging capabilities, aligning with the specifications of the Phone 2a. Additional anticipated features include NFC support and the brand’s signature Glyph lighting.
Rumors indicate that Nothing may introduce a more upscale version, the Phone 3a Plus, in addition to the standard model. This Plus variant is anticipated to include a periscope telephoto camera, which would provide a longer focal length compared to the 2x zoom available on the Phone 3a, thereby enhancing its appeal to photography aficionados. Both variants have been identified in certification databases, with the model numbers A059 and A059P, respectively.
Previous reports had suggested that Nothing would unveil the Phone 3 series, which includes the flagship Phone 3, along with the Phone 3a and 3a Plus on March 5. However, according to Yogesh Brar on X, it appears that the launch of the Nothing Phone 3 may not occur on that date. Instead, the event is likely to showcase three devices, but those anticipating the Phone 3 may need to exercise patience.
Should the Nothing Phone 3 not be released on March 5, it raises the question of what the third device could be, alongside the Phone 3a and 3a Plus. At this point, speculation remains open, and only time will provide clarity. It is advisable to approach this information with caution until official announcements are made.
